Michael Guiney's first opened its doors in 1971 on Thomas Street in Dublin, offering quality discount Bedding, Curtains and Home Furnishings. In the decades since, the family-run business has quickly established itself as a leader in stocking high-quality Bedding and Accessories at affordable prices for its customers.
From Egyptian Cotton Bed Sheets, soft touch Duvet Cover sets, Pillows and Blankets to Ready Made Curtains and Curtain Poles, Guiney's is synonymous with great value and quality products and we pride ourselves in ensuring excellent customer service to everyone.
Guiney's success in Dublin led the company to open its first store outside of the capital on Oliver Plunkett Street in Cork city centre in 1992. Guineys has introduced Menswear, Ladieswear and a Baby & Nursery Departments in more recent times - offering the same quality of ranges as is found in our growing Bedding and Homeware sections.
The move into Munster was followed by new stores in Tralee, Waterford, Limerick and then Castlebar in 2008, while the company’s online store was launched in 2012. In 2013, Guineys opened it's first store in Clonmel, Tipperary, followed by Mullingar, Westmeath. Michael Guineys opened its doors in Kilkenny in 2015 with Dundalk & Belfast opening in 2018.
